Celebrating a Milestone - Principal Master Instructor MHFA

I’m incredibly proud to announce that I am now accredited as a Principal Master Instructor for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training.

So, what is this? To become a Master Instructor, I first completed 30 MHFA training sessions, then to become a Principal I needed to complete a further 10 within a 12-month period (these have been both face-to-face and virtually). Essentially, there is experience, understanding, compassion, and a high level of expertise that has been gained.

What do I do with this accreditation? Workplaces have been my focus. Whether it is in-house for an organisation or held on-site at our Collective Wellbeing Hub in West End Qld, I facilitate interactive sessions where there is co-designed safety, inclusivity, and openness.

Following the Standard MHFA format, we utilise workplace specific scenarios and a practical, evidence-based Action Plan to focus the conversations to be supportive of co-workers who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

Underscoring the core training is my approach to helping participants start difficult conversations. I help you explore why it feels hard to approach someone you’re concerned about, and how to be more comfortable in your discomfort.

To get to know more about MHFA training and how we can help you embed this into your current wellbeing program, check out our website – link in the comments.

If you want to know how I can support you to have vital conversations with greater ease, let’s have a coffee and chat!
